Message From Lieutenant Governor Marketing - Peninsula

MY Fellow Toastmasters,

Greetings and I hope this message finds you well.

The Toastmasters International program is without doubt the most effective self-development program in the world. The program has provided us with a life-long opportunity for personal
growth.

Many of us would readily testify to the life changing benefits of the program because we have personally experienced the magical power of transformation. We are truly grateful to those who have introduced us to the program and by doing so unlocked our potential. Therefore, I want you to join me to extend the bountiful benefits of membership in Toastmasters International to
ever-greater numbers of people within our district. We should generously share these benefits just as how others before us had shared these benefits with us.

The District is ever committed towards membership retention and enrolment and club retention while seeking opportunities for club extension. This term, the District has put together resources, incentives and recognitions to encourage individual members and club leaders to
focus effort into expanding our membership base and club network.

This term, the District Marketing team had given much thought and careful planning into developing a comprehensive scheme, which will seek to reward excellence in marketing. This scheme will recognize critical and significant contributions. We will also give special attention and strategic resources to nurture Mandarin, Malay and Tamil clubs so that these clubs will
thrive and expand in their respective niches.

We are committed to develop an open communication between the individual members, club leaders and the District team. Therefore, we welcome feedback and ideas to improve our service to you. In order to enhance the delivery of the marketing program, I have appointed
Distinguished Toastmasters Geoff Andrew and Azmi Shahrin as the District 51 – Pen. Marketing Awards Chair and District 51 – Pen. Marketing Communication Chair respectively.

Let us remind ourselves and other members, to be constantly guided by the 4 core values of Toastmasters International (integrity, dedication to excellence, service to the member and respect for the individual) in our marketing efforts as well as in everything else that we do
as Toastmasters.

Let us give our finest effort so that we can be proud of our achievement for the 2009-2010 term.

SERVICE TO MEMBERS

Francis Ng, DTM
